Short film on Angola in digital film festival
Check out this ultra-short documentary from Angola, Angola After the War. It's the first in an online documentary project, The Kuito Project, about change and challenges in post-war Angola.
Kuito suffered extraordinary hardship during the Angolan civil war, most acutely during the nine-month siege of 1993. Now, with the peace stable and last year's elections having passed successfully, people are remembering that time with new openness, even as rebuild with new energy. The Kuito Project aims to tell those stories.
This one-minute film acts as an intro to the project: further episodes, of five to ten minutes each, will be rolled out in the coming months. The footage was shot over three weeks in August. More to follow. Thanks for watching. Feel free to contact me here.
