Malawi Elections 2009

Malawi a country with a population of about 13 million people went to the polls on May 19 to elect the president and members of parliament.

The polls went on smoothly and peacefully and observers have since commended Malawi's electoral body for running the process peacefully without violence.

According to analysts in Malawi, the May 19 elections have been the best simply because they attracted more voters who wanted to exercise their right.

Obama celebration in Malawi

On Tuesday I had the chance of watching the inauguration of Barrack Obama live on a big screen courtesy of Multichoice Malawi.

It was such a great time enjoying the so rich speech of Obama, the first black American president, let him work with the blessings from God.

Just nearby where we were, American residents in Malawi also gathered together to watch the event live, the place was full and they really enjoyed every moment of the inauguration.

In all the three cities people also took their t… Continue

Hi Sam!
Good to hear from you. Yes, I would also have loved for us to meet but let's plan for next time. It will be great to meet you; hope you get into the course you have applied for. Will it be here in Kenya?

I didn't manage to go to the lake but i am planning another trip to Malawi and will make sure I have a weekend to spare. I've heard many good things about the Lake.

I never saw your post until today but I got in touch with Caroline who gave the feature to Lucas who prepared it and it appeared in the Monday paper. I plan to track all the other features - even on radio and TV and not quite sure how I will do this. Can you help?

Let's keep in touch and all the best with the web management project and congrats!

Best wishes,
Anne
