- Is a peacebuilding entity. The orgainzation has been changing from one mandate to another. over the previous years we had UNOMSIL which was succeeded by UNAMSIL; followed by UNOISIL and now UNPISIL the current mission in operation.
The present mission help the government and people of Sierra Leone to consolidate the peace in the areas of good governance, promotion of human rights, providing communication and entertainment through UN radio etc to ensure everlasting peace in the country.

- The United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office in Sierra Leone is at the moment operating in the West African country of Sierra Leone since 1999.
