SUMMARY:30th Durban International Film Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Durban International Film Festival has announced that 
 its landmark 30th edition will take place from 22 July to 2 August 200
 9.\n\nThe festival will present over 200 screenings of films from arou
 nd the world, with a special focus on films from South African and Afr
 ica . Screenings will take place throughout Durban including township 
 areas where cinemas are non-existent. The festival will also offer an 
 extensive seminar and workshop programme featuring local and internati
 onal filmmakers, and 2009 will see the return of the very successful T
 alent Campus Durban.\n\nThe festival calls for entries - feature films
 , short films and documentaries are all welcome. The festival does hav
 e a competition component. The deadline for entries is past : 31 March
  2009 for short films and documentaries; 15 April 2009 for feature fil
 ms. Early submissions are encouraged.\n\n\nFor further information vis
